Renewal - Online Account or Library Card

Virginia residents may renew their online account or library card using the online renewal form below. Non-Virginia residents, click HERE

To renew an online account (library card has not been issued):

• A valid Virginia state-issued driver's license or identification card is required
• Library staff will validate the information provided against Virginia's DMV database to confirm Virginia residency
• Submission of false or faulty information will result in suspension of privileges

To renew a Library Card online:

• The email address linked to your Library of Virginia account is required
• A valid Virginia state-issued driver's license or identification card is required
• Library staff will validate the information provided against Virginia's DMV database to confirm Virginia residency
• Submission of false or faulty information will result in suspension of privileges

Library cards may also be renewed in person at the Library of Virginia, 800 East Broad Street, Richmond, VA 23219.

• Valid photo identification is required
• Proof of residence/current physical address is required
