Library of Virginia Account Registration

Welcome!
Virginia residents may register for a library account online. Online registrations require a valid Virginia DMV–issued driver's license or ID, email address, and minimum 8 character password.

The Library will use your driver's license number only for validation and will not store it in the system. Submission of faulty or false information will result in suspension of privileges.

Users who register online may use their email address to gain remote access to the Library's subscription databases and catalog features.

Online registrants will not receive a library card until they visit the Library in person. All accounts must be renewed once per year to keep the account active.
