Virginia Herald
- id: 79
- end_date: June 26, 1815
- frequency: 2/week (Wed, Fri)
- lineage_id: 23
- proprietors: Green & Cady
- start_date: January 1, 1812
- variant_number: Fredericksburg 01-05
- notes: With the first issue of 1812, Green took on Connecticut bookseller Ebenezer Cady as his partner in a major expansion of his business; the partnership lasted exactly 30 months, suggesting a series of six-month contracts between them. Older bibliographies report that Green's partner was "Lacy" and not "Cady," apparently from mistranscribing an indistinct impression of the names in the Herald's colophon after the two joined together in 1812.
