- notes: When his two-year arrangement with Gray expired at end of June 1817, Green resumed a visible proprietorship of the Herald in partnership with Harrow, a former apprentice in his office; as with the previous transition, the pair began a new numbering series with their first issue on July 2, 1817 (vol. 1, no. 1), which was continued until the paper's suspension in 1862 as a result of Civil War actions in the neighborhood.
