• notes: Address of the resident governor opening the Assembly session, setting out the legislative priorities of the imperial administration, delivered on February 22, 1759. Here Fauquier asked the Assembly to extend the service of the Virginia regiments raised to fight the French in the Ohio country in order to aid the British assault on Canada.
