• notes: Address of the resident governor opening the Assembly session, setting out the legislative priorities of the imperial administration, delivered on October 6, 1760. Here Fauquier asked the Assembly to modify the terms of enlistment for Virginia troops assigned to the frontiers to effect a repositioning of forces following the capture of French Canada.
  The replies of the Council and the House of Burgesses were not published, as the session was adjourned after just fourteen days, October 20th, and did not resume until March 5, 1761
