The Crisis was a London periodical published between January 1775 and October 1776 that sought to generate support for the American cause in Great Britain proper. In this imprint, Pinkney reprinted the first eight numbers of that weekly, attributed to writer William Moore by British historians, as did several other North American presses in 1775.
