  Purdie published this title to coincide with start of the Fifth Virginia Convention on May 6th. It is a reprinting of one number of The Crisis, a London periodical published between January 1775 and October 1776. This particular issue, attributed to writer William Moore by British historians, commented on George III's speech to Parliament on October 27, 1775, wherein he endorsed Lord Dunmore's recommendations for quick and forceful military action against the colonial rebellion. A collection of 28 numbers of this periodical was issued in New York by John Anderson in 1776 (Evans 14721); Purdie likely drew this reprint from that collection.
