- title: Genealogy of Tarleton Fleming, of Mannsville, Goochland County, Virginia ...
- sequence_number: 15
- year: 1778
- place_issued: Williamsburg
- issuing_press: Uncertain
- author: -----
- notes: Evidently issued in conjunction with Lewis Littlepage's Elegy on the Death of Colonel Tarleton Fleming (1778.014). Fleming (1722-78) was the sheriff of Goochland County who became a key figure in that county's Revolutionary leadership, serving on its Committee of Safety, as a delegate to the newly-independent General Assembly, and as commander of the county's militia; he died while posted to the Hampton area in January 1778.
Sheet lacks colophon; Littlepage's verse was published in both Virginia Gazettes then issued (Purdie; Dixon & Hunter), so an attribution by his prior associations cannot be made here.
