- imprint_number: 1784.013
- title: Orders for a Dancing School … May 1784.
- sequence_number: 13
- year: 1784
- place_issued: Richmond
- issuing_press: Uncertain
- author: Walker, Benjamin.
- notes: Sheet lacks printer credit; as this was issued during May 1784 Assembly, likely a Richmond imprint; however, issuing press remains undetermined, though apparently not issued from that of Dunlap & Hayes, which was overwhelmed by work ordered by the sitting Assembly.
Signed "Benjamin Walker, dancing master," imprint was probably published to help organize the balls attending the Assembly meeting; text consists of eight numbered rules of order, followed by twenty-six numbered dance descriptions; text concludes with a recommendation of Walker by Tscharner de Graffenried (1722-94) of Lunenburg County.
Copies held by several libraries, but title was not filmed by Early American Imprints Series.
