- imprint_number: 1784.017
- title: An act for opening and extending the navigation of Potomack river.
- sequence_number: 17
- year: 1784
- place_issued: Alexandria
- issuing_press: George Richards & Co.
- author: Virginia. General Assembly.
- notes: Copy in the Library of Congress not found for filming by Early American Imprints Series.
Evidently a small pamphlet reprinting an act of the Assembly of October 1784 authorizing the creation of a private company to clear the Potomac River of obstacles to navigation above Alexandria; text of this act covers fifteen pages in Hening's Statutes (see Chap XLIII of Acts of October 1784, XI: 510-525). Imprint lacks date; as this Assembly session adjourned January 7, 1785, this title could be a 1785 imprint, rather than a 1784 one.
