- title: To prevent impositions, the board advise, that from and after the first day of March, 1787, no testimonial be given unless, the instrument of writing, to which it is to be annexed, be sealed with the seal of the Office from which it may come, if such Office be by law required to keep a seal. - sequence_number: 27
- year: 1786
- place_issued: Richmond
- issuing_press: Dixon & Holt
- author: Virginia. Council of State.
- notes: Copy held by Library of Virginia carries inscription "In Council, Dec. 4, 1786" at head of title.
Sheet lacks printer credit; the firm of Dixon & Holt was appointed as the public printer in June 1786, succeeding that of Dunlap & Hayes, who were dismissed on May 5, 1786, as a result of their perceived negligence (tardy production of Assembly records), hence the attribution here.
