- notes: Eight resolutions adopted in the October 1786 Assembly of apparent public concern: on November 29th: 1) petitions of western inhabitants transmitted to Congress, 2) on improving navigation of the Mississippi, 3) against Congress favoring eastern interests, and 4) free trade access to the Mississippi; on December 8th: 5) for reissue of lost land warrants; on January 6th: 6) release of prisoners in public jail for suits of no benefit to the public, 7) Treasurer pay monies due Virginia Line officers in Continental service from the requisition of Congress, and 8) Treasurer pay monies due Virginia Line officers in Continental service from the requisition of Congress.
Sheet lacks printer credit; the firm of Dixon & Holt was appointed as the public printer in June 1786, succeeding that of Dunlap & Hayes, who were dismissed on May 5, 1786, as a result of their perceived negligence (tardy production of Assembly records), hence the attribution here.
