Act for Canal from Elizabeth River to Pasquotank River.
- imprint_number: 1787.055
- title: Law of the state of Virginia. (Passed, December 1, 1787.) An act for cutting a navigable canal from the waters of Elizabeth River, in this state, to the waters of Pasquotank River, in the state of North-Carolina.
- sequence_number: 55
- year: 1787
- place_issued: Richmond
- issuing_press: Uncertain.
- author: Virginia. General Assembly.
- notes: Sheet lacks printer credit; as with the Assembly of a year before, the task of printing the session's laws was split among the three Richmond presses headed by John Dixon, Augustine Davis, and Thomas Nicolson; Dixon was officially the public printer, having become the sole holder of that office on the death of partner John Hunter Holt in June 1787, but his press office was plagued by production delays, hence the division of the public work.
Reprinted as Chap. XIII of the Acts of October 1787 in Hening's Statutes (XII: 478-494).
