Journal of the House of Delegates (October 1787).
- imprint_number: 1788.007
- title: Journal of the house of delegates of the commonwealth of Virginia; begun and holden in the city of Richmond, in the county of Henrico, on Monday, the fifteenth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty- seven.
- sequence_number: 7
- year: 1788
- place_issued: Richmond
- issuing_press: John Dixon
- author: Virginia. General Assembly.
- notes: Session met from October 15, 1787 to January 8, 1788.
As with the prior Assembly, the responsibility for printing the session's records was split among the three Richmond presses headed by John Dixon, Augustine Davis, and Thomas Nicolson; Dixon was officially public printer, having become the sole holder of that office on the death of partner John Hunter Holt in June 1787, but his office was plagued by production delays, hence the division of public work; following the session's adjournment, Dixon printed this journal individually, while working with Davis and Nicolson on printing the session laws.
This title was mistakenly attributed to Davis and Nicolson by Evans, apparently because of their collaboration on one of the two variants of this Assembly's session laws (1788.06).
