- title: [Public acts and resolutions, passed at the October session, 1789].
- sequence_number: 3
- year: 1790
- place_issued: Richmond
- issuing_press: John Dixon
- author: Virginia. General Assembly.
- notes: Session met from October 19 to December 19, 1789.
Evidently an abbreviated version of the Session Laws of October 1789; only known copy held by the Library of Virginia lacks title page, but typography matches that of the full set of laws published by Dixon (1790.002).
House resolution of November 7, 1789 authorized the executive to divide the session laws among multiple printers, as they had during the preceding four Assembly sessions, if the incumbent public printer, John Dixon, was unable to produce them at the end of the current Assembly; Dixon met that deadline for the first time with this session, possibly by issuing this variant that contained those acts that required enforcement by state and county officials.
