- notes: Carey conducted a press in Richmond for just the final three months of 1792, collaborating with Augustine Davis in the city's first daily newspaper. It seems that Carey's 1793 almanac replaced the one Davis normally issued while he was preoccupied by the production of a proposed revisal of the laws (1792.029 & 1792.030) and the records of the October 1792 Assembly session as Virginia's public printer; its author is neither cited nor discernible.
