- notes: Dated by the clerk of the House of Delegates: "Nov. 9, 1796," petition is in manuscript by Major Henry Bedinger, commander of the Berkeley County militia, asking that the exemption of "Quakers and Menonists" [sic] from militia duty be repealed, on behalf of his troops.
Sheet lacks printer credit; Nathaniel Willis conducted the only press in Martinsburg at this time. The only known copy is held in the state archives at the Library of Virginia, and so was not filmed by the Early American Imprints Series.
