Minutes of the Ketocton Baptist Association (August 1797).
- imprint_number: 1797.021
- title: Minutes of the Ketockton Baptist Association, held at Frying-Pan, Loudoun County, August 1797.
- sequence_number: 21
- year: 1797
- place_issued: Virginia
- issuing_press: Uncertain
- author: Ketocton Baptist Association.
- notes: Meeting was largely a discussion of the legitimacy of slavery, and ended with a proposal for gradual emancipation set into the minutes for the consideration of the member churches in advance of the 1798 association meeting.
Title lacks printer credit; minutes for 1796 meeting were published in Dumfries by Thomas Thornton (1796.037), but that press closed about mid-November 1796; the minutes of the 1798 meeting were published in Winchester by Richard Bowen (1798.052), so this title may have issued there as well; but the possibility that it was printed in Alexandria makes such a specific attribution unsupportable without other evidence.
