The most notorious of the 106 acts passed at this session were the four laws known collectively as the Alien & Sedition Acts: the Naturalization Act of June 18 (Chap. LIV), the Alien Friends Act of June 25 (Chap. LVIII), the Alien Enemies Act of July 6 (Chap. LXVI), and the Sedition Act of July 14 (Chap. LXXIV).
Davis was ordered to print 1500 copies by the Council of State on October 16, 1798.
