- sequence_number: 25
- year: 1798
- place_issued: Richmond
- issuing_press: Samuel Pleasants
- author: Citizens of Albemarle County.
- notes: Memorial asking repeal of the Alien and Sedition acts on constitutional grounds, as well as their overly broad language – largely a legal assessment.
Sheet lacks printer credit; as such printed protests were organized by the state's Republican leadership, it was almost certainly issued from the Richmond press of Samuel Pleasants, then both the primary Republican printer in Virginia and a junior member of that party's central coordinating committee in the state capital.
The Early American Imprints Series did not film the second sheet of subscribed signatures.
