- author: Mutual Insurance Company Against Fire on Goods and Furniture in the State of Virginia.
- notes: This company was a follow-on project of William Frederick Ast (d. 1807), founder of the Mutual Assurance Society Against Fire on Buildings of the State of Virginia; the company was incorporated under Chap. LVII of the Acts of the November 1795 Assembly, enacted just two weeks before the first annual meeting of the antecedent society, and was evidently expected to offer coverage for the contents of the various structures insured by that society.
Only recorded copy is held by the Virginia Historical Society as part of their collection of the papers of the Mutual Assurance Society Against Fire on Buildings; their catalogue reports the older group as author of this 1799 text despite the legal distinction between the two entities.
As with most imprints issued by the Mutual Assurance Society Against Fire on Buildings, this title lacks printer credit, echoing the society's practice of employing unnamed job printers.
