- notes: Initial notice of the Petersburg partnership of Ross & Douglas; Ross was simply a merchant, while Douglas was a printer and bookbinder.. On the recto side, the sheet carries the above notice for Douglas's printing shop – known as the Blandford Press – with a blank space at bottom for written receipt for goods "Bought of Ross & Douglas." On the verso side, it carries an advertisement for their book and stationery store, listing the types of books, stationery items, numerous sundries, binding services, and medicines available in the store.
