Va. to Nashville Ten., Huntsville, Alb., Lexington Ken., Cumberland Gap, Jonesborough, Ten., Richmond Va., Winchester Va., Baltimore Md., Washington City, and Raleigh N.C. … furnished at the Wythe Hotel, sign of General Washington, by Marshall & Trigg.
- sequence_number: 56
- year: 1799
- place_issued: Virginia
- issuing_press: Uncertain
- author: Marshall & Trigg (firm).
- notes: Dated in print: "Wythe Court House, Va. October 28th 1299." [i.e. 1799].
Imprint lacks printer credit; text indicates that Marshall & Trigg conducted stage lines from the Wythe Hotel that connected to other lines throughout the west and south, so while credited as this title's publishers, the firm evidently contracted a printer to produce it.
The date of its issue corresponds to the establishment of a press in nearby Botetourt County by David Ammen, but the typography herein is far more practiced than anything he printed in his decade as a Virginia printer; thus origin of this title is unknown, but it was probably issued in one of the Virginia printing venues listed among the stage-line's connections.
Only known copy, at the Library of Virginia, has been digitized and made available online.
