Sheet lacks printer credit and date. Only recorded copy held in the state archives at the Library of Virginia is dated at end in manuscript "Dec. 11, 1799" by a clerk of the House of Delegates, indicating date of submission, and so of production; that copy also has the blanks completed in manuscript for Stafford County; those completions raise the possibility that the petition issued from Fredericksburg, rather than from Alexandria as suggested by Bristol, so the indeterminate origin reported here.
