Account of Proceedings in Regard to Beaumarchais’s Claim.
- imprint_number: 1802.071
- title: An account of proceedings in regard to Beaumarchais’s claim for reimbursement for arms and ammunition furnished to the Americans during the revolution.
- sequence_number: 71
- year: 1802
- place_issued: Virginia
- issuing_press: Uncertain
- author: Chevallié, John Augustus.
- notes: No copy known extant despite Swem's report of the title from a catalog card at the Library of Congress; only title there under Chevallié's name is for the Memorial and Claim of Amélie-Eugénie Caron de Beaumarchais (1801.015) filed with the U.S. Congress during their 1801-02 session, which was then referred to the government of Virginia.
After having been denied during the Revolutionary War, the December 1802 Assembly considered this memorial and the governor's report thereon (1802.070) and rejected that long-standing claim once again on December 21, 1802. This title is likely a duplication of the memorial, listed as per Swem.
