The American Primer, 1st edition.
- imprint_number: 1803.066
- title: The American primer, calculated for the instruction of young children. First edition.
- sequence_number: 66
- year: 1803
- place_issued: Norfolk
- issuing_press: Augustus C. Jordan
- author: -----
- notes: First of three editions of this collected work issued by Jordan in 1803; all three editions are typographically identical, with the exception of the edition statement on the title page, indicating that Jordan kept this title in standing type for the duration of the print run for all three editions; such was apparently easily done using the copious type he still had on hand after the closing of his twice-weekly newspaper (The Epitome of the Times) in April 1802.
