Fleetwood, or The New Man of Feeling.
- imprint_number: 1805.035
- title: Fleetwood: or, The new man of feeling. By Wm. Godwin. In two volumes.
- sequence_number: 35
- year: 1805
- place_issued: Alexandria
- issuing_press: Cottom & Stewart
- author: Godwin, William (1756-1836).
- notes: Imprint states: "Alexandria: Published by Cottom and Stewart, and sold at their bookstores in Alexandria and Fredericksburg. Duane and Son, printers. 1805." The firm of William Duane & Son was a job-press located across the Potomac in Washington City; this item is one of the few clear examples of Cottom & Stewart using a non-Alexandria press to print a publication.
Title was issued in two separate volumes with discrete title pages that are typographically identical except for volume number; yet the surviving copies appear to have all been bound with both volumes in one binding, as with the American Antiquarian Society copy that was filmed by the Early American Imprints Series.
