• notes: The December 1805 Assembly received a series of petitions from Lynchburg-area residents asking for the construction of additional tobacco inspection warehouses there; all of those petitions named sites owned by specific individuals; the House of Delegates received this request for a warehouse on the land of James Martin on December 6, 1805; they combined the plan with a like petition naming John Lynch (1805.060) as part of "An Act establishing certain Public Warehouses in the Town of Lynchburg" (Chap. XVIII of Acts of December 1805 Assembly) on December 31, 1805, designating it as the Union Warehouse.
