- notes: A discussion of the appropriate forms religious instruction of youth; text has no indication of author, even though dedicated to the bishops of the Protestant Episcopal Church in America; William Meade, one of those bishops, reported that the Martinsburg church was ministered to by Rev. Emanuel Wilmer in 1806 & 1807, so it is possible that Wilmer was the speaker of this discourse, but such an attribution is purely speculative.
