- notes: This title is one of three variants of Cottom & Stewart's 1808 almanac printed for three distinct markets: the District of Columbia (this item), the Fredericksburg area (1807.047), and the rural areas adjacent to both (1807.048); there is not a complete copy of any of the three known extant, but comparisons of the surviving copies evinces a common almanac of thirty-six pages in duodecimo format; the variation between them is found in alterations of the title text above the ornamented word "Almanac" on the title page of each; otherwise the three are typographically identical, including a portrait of Washington on the title page.
