- notes: First religious magazine published in Virginia; primarily a project of the faculty of the Liberty Hall Academy (today Washington & Lee University), then a Presbyterian training school, under the leadership of Revs. George Addison Baxter and Archibald Alexander. For its entire three-year run, magazine was printed on the Lexington press of Samuel Walkup, himself a Presbyterian minister later in life. The six numbers of this volume conclude that run; the last number is dated November/December 1807.
