Bethlem Gabor, Lord of Transylvania.
- imprint_number: 1807.062
- title: Bethlem Gabor, lord of Transylvania, or, The man hating Palatine; an historical drama, in three acts.
- sequence_number: 62
- year: 1807
- place_issued: Petersburg
- issuing_press: John Dickson for Somervell & Conrad
- author: Burk, John Daly (1772-1808).
- notes: Burk, the noted Republican polemicist, returned to play-writing with a political message – his original occupation when he arrived in America – while still drafting the fourth volume of his well-known History of Virginia. This new play drew on a novel by William Godwin, the early English socialist, (St. Leon: A Tale of the Sixteenth Century), which was apparently popular in Virginia, as evinced by the three American editions published in Alexandria in 1801-02.
