- notes: This title is one of the three nearly identical almanacs that Cottom & Stewart published for 1809; as in previous year, the pair made minor changes to the text of the main title, interchangeably using the word "Alexandria" (this item), "Washington" (1808.063), or "Virginia" (1808.064) immediately above the ornamental word "Almanack" at the top of the title page; otherwise all three imprints are typographically identical. The variations evince the partners' marketing of their annual almanacs in differing locales, urban and rural.
Shaw & Shoemaker mistakenly recorded this title twice (nos. 14322 & 16819) and so the Early American Imprints Series filmed this item twice under those entry numbers.
