- imprint_number: 1810.023
- title: To the freeholders of New Kent ... John B. Clopton. Roslin, New Kent, February 20, 1810.
- sequence_number: 23
- year: 1810
- place_issued: Richmond
- issuing_press: Uncertain
- author: Clopton, John B.
- notes: Clopton was a son of the Republican representing the congressional district that included Richmond, John Clopton (1756-1816), then seeking election to the House of Delegates for the December 1810 Assembly; unlike his father, he was unsuccessful in attaining elective office until elected to the Virginia Senate in 1821 as the successor to George Hay, the former U.S. attorney for the Eastern Virginia District Court at Richmond.
Sheet lacks colophon; almost certainly a Richmond title, given the association both Cloptons had with Republican leadership circles there; however the issuing press remains uncertain.
