Virginia Almanack for 1811 (Cottom & Stewart).
- imprint_number: 1810.055
- title: The Virginia Almanack for the year of our Lord, 1811. Being the 3d. after bissextile, or leap year, and the 35th of American Independence.
- sequence_number: 55
- year: 1810
- place_issued: Alexandria
- issuing_press: Cottom & Stewart
- author: Sharp, Joshua.
- notes: Imprint states: "Printed by Cottom & Stewart, for R. Cottom, Petersburg." Richard Cottom had worked for brother Peter in Alexandria before 1810, and now conducted an independent business in Petersburg with some financial backing from his more-established brother.
This title was one of three essentially identical almanacs published by Cottom & Stewart for 1811; it was their regular practice to issue a common almanac with interchangeable title pages, targeting three distinct locales in Virginia, here for Alexandria (1810.054), for Petersburg (this item), and for Fredericksburg (1810.056); this series was the first in which the non-Alexandria editions were not produced for a Cottom & Stewart branch store, as their partnership was due to expire in 1811.
