Elegy on Richmond Theater Fire for the Enquirer.
- imprint_number: 1811.051
- title: To the Editor of the Enquirer ... Whether the cheerful sun shall gild the day ... Carolinus.
- sequence_number: 51
- year: 1811
- place_issued: Virginia
- issuing_press: Thomas Ritchie
- author: Carolinus [pseudonym].
- notes: Only known copy is held in the collections of the Valentine Museum in Richmond.
Sheet lacks colophon; as these verses are addressed to Thomas Ritchie, this title is clearly a Richmond imprint issued from the press producing Ritchie's Enquirer; Hummel suggests a date of 1811, which is more than possible, given the public interest exhibited immediately after the December 26th fire, despite there being only four days left in that year; hence, this Index adopts that dating.
