Canons for Government of Protestant Episcopal Church.
- imprint_number: 1812.041
- title: Canons for the government of the Protestant Episcopal Church in this state.
- sequence_number: 41
- year: 1812
- place_issued: Richmond
- issuing_press: John O. Lynch
- author: Episcopal Church. Diocese of Virginia.
- notes: Caption title only, so title lacks imprint. The death of Bishop James Madison in March 1812 led to a special convention in May to reorganize the diocesan administration; John Bracken was elected as Madison's successor, leading to a shuffling of offices within the diocese; this new administration also revised the canons of the church for Virginia; this title presents the altered canons in a form that indicates a design that they be printed as an appendix to the convention's journal (1812.040); typography and format here are identical to that seen in that journal, so almost certainly published at the same time as the journal; so the attribution of Lynch as the printer-publisher of this uncredited imprint.
