- title: Tribute to patriotism. Behold the generous patriot band, Brave guardians of their native land ... Petersburg volunteers, who embarked in the service of their country in the War with Great Britain, on the 21st of October, 1812; … commanded by Captain Richard McRae … General Order — Head-quarters, Detroit, 17th October, 1813 … Robert Butler, Acting Assistant Adjutant General

- notes: Only known copy is held in the broadside collection of the Virginia Historical Society; text offers a poetic tribute with a detailed list of the members of this military unit.
Sheet lacks colophon; both of Petersburg's newspapers provided detailed coverage of the activities of the militia unit known as the "Petersburg Volunteers," despite the stark political differences between the two journals; hence, either office could have produced this title, and almost certainly did, so the partial attribution here.
