It having been arranged to form a Bible Society, after divine worship, the object of some remarks is evident."
  Title was apparently the first issued after the dissolution of the partnership between Bourne and Andrew B. Davidson in conducting the Theological Printing Office in Harrisonburg earlier in the summer; Bourne's emerging antislavery ministry had led him to denounce Davidson's ownership of slaves, resulting in the termination of their arrangement; Bourne continued to work with printer Wartmann until the end of the following year when he left Virginia, leaving the Harrisonburg press in the hands of Wartmann alone.
