Multiple petitions were received on December 7, 1815, both for and against a plan to clear the Roanoke immediately above of the North Carolina border; the Assembly chose to accept the recommendations presented in this report, chartering a company to clear obstructions as detailed in the positive petitions (see Chap. L of Acts of December 1815 Assembly).
