- imprint_number: 1816.070
- title: Minutes of the Union Baptist Association held at Elk Creek meeting-house, Harrison county, Virginia, 1816.
- sequence_number: 70
- year: 1816
- place_issued: Clarksburg
- issuing_press: Butler & McRae
- author: Union Baptist Association in Virginia
- notes: Only known copy, now lost, was formerly held by the Samuel Colgate American Baptist Historical Library in Rochester, New York, now a part of the American Baptist Historical Archives at Mercer University; the catalogue entry for that title informs this entry; the copy they catalogued was evidently bound with the association's minutes for 1814, 1815, 1817, 1818, and 1819, a set that then suffered the loss of pages through mutilation in nearly all of those individual reports; this 1816 report was one of the few intact.
Title page lacked imprint; the entire run of minutes found in bound set consisted of eight-page octavo reports with individual title page, the minutes in 5 pages, then a letter of three pages, for eight total with a Clarksburg colophon at end of printed text; following that set pattern, this item was likely printed by Gideon Butler and Alexander G. McRae, who acquired the only press there from Forbes & Alexander Britton in mid-1815, so the attribution here.
