  First annual report of the Benevolent Society of the Parish of St. Andrews in Shepherdstown (1817.089) records that they had 1900 copies of this work printed by Snider (who was also a member of that society), and donated 1000 of them to that tract society formed by the Episcopal Diocese of Virginia in May 1816; the rector of St. Andrew's Parish was the Rev. Benjamin Allen, whose biography reports his involvement with all of the imprints issued by the local society, both for their own use and that of the state-wide tract society; yet Allen's name does not appear in the text herein.
