VII of the Acts of the November 1816 Assembly with title: An Act of suspend the operation of an Act entitled, "An Act to provide more effectually for the payment of specie by the several banks of the Commonwealth." The immediate need for such a suspension was the reason Gov. Nicholas called an early meeting of this session.
