Sharrocks (publisher) and Adam Douglass (author; Sharrocks was then a bookbinder in Winchester, maintaining a shop across Loudoun Street from Foster's printing office, and so was a part of Foster's post-1915 effort to establish his press as the northern Valley's principal book-printing concern; Douglass was an Irish immigrant who then resided near New Market, working as a school-teacher and surveyor, after he returned briefly to Great Britain to serve in an Irish regiment that helped defeat Napoleon at Waterloo in 1815; text here evidently a fictionalization of his travels and adventures.
Item was printed in two volumes with individual title pages, suggesting that the title was sold separately in two parts, although all surviving copies are complete two-volume bound sets.
