- imprint_number: 1819.013
- title: [Report of committee relative to the incorporation of an independent bank, or branch of one of the existing banks to be located at Danville].
- sequence_number: 13
- year: 1819
- place_issued: Richmond
- issuing_press: Thomas Ritchie
- author: Virginia. General Assembly.
- notes: Numerous petitions presented on December 11, 1818 (1818.122, 1818.123, 1818.124) were referred to a select committee which issued this affirmative report; the House eventually passed a resolution suggesting that the stockholders of the Bank of Virginia open a branch office in Danville, but Senate failed to concur with that directive; ultimately, a branch of the Farmers' Bank of Virginia was established there in 1825.
No copy known extant; Thomas Ritchie, the public printer, was ordered on January 28, 1819, to print 250 copies of this report for the use of the Assembly, so the attribution here to the partnership then conducting Ritchie's press.
