- imprint_number: 1819.070
- title: A preservative from the sins and follies of childhood and youth. By Dr. Isaac Watts.
- sequence_number: 70
- year: 1819
- place_issued: Fredericksburg
- issuing_press: William F. Gray
- author: Watts, Isaac (1674-1748).
- notes: Title is the separately issued latter half of Dr. Watts's Plain and Easy Catechisms for Children (1819.A09), printed by Gray in Fredericksburg.
Project was apparently an attempt on Gray's part to supply a growing market for religious titles designed for children; the back cover of the American Antiquarian Society copy (and filmed by the Early American Imprints Series) carries an advertisement for several such titles then available from Gray, with a closing sentence reporting that Sunday schools would be "supplied on most reasonable terms" at his store.
