  Written in response to a memorial from merchants in London to the Lords Commissioners for Trade and Plantations concerning the Assembly's early 1758 authorization of additional issues of treasury notes and their monetization as legal tender. Imprint was likely issued around the date of the February 1759 session of the Assembly, nearly a year after the act, following discussion of the memorial at the September 1758 session.
  Hunter was in England from June 1756 to July 1759; his office's production was handled by John Stretch during his absence.
