- title: The Town & Country Almanack for the year of our Lord 1808. Being Bissextile, or Leap-Year; and the 32d of American Independence.
- sequence_number: 48
- year: 1807
- place_issued: Alexandria
- issuing_press: Cottom & Stewart
- author: -----
- notes: Only known copy is held by the Virginia Historical Society.
This title is one of three variants of Cottom & Stewart's 1808 almanac printed for three distinct markets: the District of Columbia (1807.046), the Fredericksburg area (1807.047), and the rural areas adjacent to both (this item); there is not a complete copy of any of the three known extant, but comparisons of the surviving copies evinces a common almanac of thirty-six pages in duodecimo format; the variation between them is found in alterations of the title text above the ornamented word "Almanac" on the title page of each; otherwise the three are typographically identical, including a portrait of Washington on the title page.
