- notes: No copy known extant; Swem recorded title from payment to Pleasants authorized on May 9, 1809 by the Council of State for printing the copies needed; that date was also day when payment was authorized for Pleasants printing copies of a letter from the secretary of war (1808.021) dismissing the troops requisition from Virginia in October 1808; that concurrence indicates that this item was a cover letter sent with copies of that letter to the commanders of the Virginia militia instructing them to relieve the troops.
